Public Restrooms on South Beach, Miami Beach
The three Lummus Park beach restrooms at 6th, 10th and 14th Streets, and 8 restroom places on the map within a mile of Ocean Drive.
Three beach restrooms along Ocean Drive
Lummus Park is the strip of palms and sand between Ocean Drive and the Atlantic, and its three restroom buildings are the public restrooms most visitors to South Beach will use. Within half a mile of Ocean Drive at 8th Street our data holds only four restroom places, so the map opens on a 1 mile radius, about a 20 minute walk, which runs from South Pointe Park at the southern tip to Flamingo Park and north to Lincoln Road. That gives 8 restroom places (a facility mapped as several points counts once), 5 recorded as open to the public and 6 as wheelchair accessible. It is a short list, and the city's own pages below cover most of it.
What the City of Miami Beach says
The city's Lummus Park page gives the park as "Ocean Drive between 5 Street and 14 Place", open "Monday β Sunday; Sunrise to 12 am", with "3 public restrooms at 6, 10 and 14 Streets" and water fountains "located at 6, 10 and 14 Street restrooms and beach wash stations". Our data names the same three, "6th Street", "10th Street" and "14th Street", each recorded as wheelchair accessible; the list below shows them under those names.
At the southern tip, South Pointe Park (1 Washington Avenue) is open "Monday β Sunday; Sunrise to Sunset", with public restrooms "located near concession"; our data records one there with baby changing. Inland, Flamingo Park (11th Street and Jefferson Avenue) is open sunrise to sunset, with "public restrooms near athletic fields"; our data records a public restroom on that side of the park with hours of 9 AM to 6 PM, which the city does not confirm.
The city runs a Restroom Index, in which assessors "physically inspect our restrooms on a six-point scale", covering "the dozens of City-maintained public restrooms"; it does not publish where they are or when they open. None of the city's pages gives restroom hours, so the hours above are the parks'.

Every restroom on the map, nearest first
8 places within 1 mile of Ocean Drive at 8th Street, from 9 map points (a facility mapped as several points, such as a men's and a women's room, is one place). Distances are straight-line from the center of the area. Each row shows only what OpenStreetMap records for it, after cleaning: a row without hours or access details means the record has none we could show, not that the restroom is closed or locked. OpenStreetMap data from November 2026.
"Open now" and "Closed now" appear only where OpenStreetMap lists a restroom's opening hours: 1 place here, and 1.7% of the US restroom records we use. Those hours are added by volunteers and may be out of date, and "Hours not listed" means only that no hours are recorded.
