Public Restrooms in Downtown Dallas
15 restroom places within a mile of Main Street and Akard Street, 12 recorded as open to the public. Klyde Warren Park and the Farmers Market, in their own words.
A mile of downtown, from the Farmers Market to Klyde Warren Park
Downtown Dallas is a grid of office towers with small parks between them: Main Street Garden, Pacific Plaza, Thanks-Giving Square and, on the deck over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway at the north edge, Klyde Warren Park. Within half a mile of Main and Akard our data holds eight restroom places, but none at Klyde Warren Park or the Farmers Market, the two places whose operators say where their restrooms are, so the map opens on a 1 mile radius, about a 20 minute walk, which reaches Klyde Warren Park to the north, the Farmers Market to the southeast and Dealey Plaza to the west.
That gives 15 restroom places (a facility mapped as several points counts once). Unusually, most are tagged: 12 are recorded as open to the public and 10 as wheelchair accessible. None is named and none has hours in the data, so the list can tell you where a restroom is but not whose it is or when it opens; the two operators below can.
Klyde Warren Park
Klyde Warren Park's own FAQ says: "There are public restrooms for all guests by the Nancy Best Fountain (on the East Lawn) and next to La Parada (on the West Lawn)." There are also restrooms "in the gated Children's Park for families with children", and "all restrooms are wheelchair accessible." Its amenities page calls them "clean, air-conditioned restrooms" and places the West Lawn ones "next to La Parada on Olive Street". The park "is open from 6 AM to 11 PM daily."
Our data records three restroom places along the park, all recorded as open to the public, at about the positions the park describes; it does not name which is which.

Dallas Farmers Market
The Dallas Farmers Market's FAQ says: "Public restrooms are located on the ground floor of The Market Building, near the main entrance. On weekends, additional public restrooms are available across from The Shed." Its accessibility answer adds "accessible restrooms inside The Market Building", and "The Market Building (indoor food hall) is open daily from 10amβ7pm, though some merchants may open earlier or stay open later." Our data records a restroom place at the Market Building, recorded as open to the public, free and wheelchair accessible.

Not covered: the restrooms at Main Street Garden, Pacific Plaza, Thanks-Giving Square and Dealey Plaza. Our data records restrooms near some of them, but the pages run by the city and the downtown parks conservancy say nothing about restrooms, so we cannot say who runs them or when they are open.
Every restroom on the map, nearest first
15 places within 1 mile of Main and Akard, from 18 map points (a facility mapped as several points, such as a men's and a women's room, is one place). Distances are straight-line from the center of the area. Each row shows only what OpenStreetMap records for it, after cleaning: a row without hours or access details means the record has none we could show, not that the restroom is closed or locked. OpenStreetMap data from November 2026.
"Open now" and "Closed now" appear only where OpenStreetMap lists a restroom's opening hours: 0 places here, and 1.7% of the US restroom records we use. Those hours are added by volunteers and may be out of date, and "Hours not listed" means only that no hours are recorded.
